Nicholas Zec Jr. is the Vice President of Financial & Retirement Planning at Boyd Insurance and Investment Services. Originally from the Chicagoland area, he made Bradenton his home in 1984 when he joined the agency. With a specialization in Life Insurance, Tax-Deferred Investments, and Retirement planning products and services, Nick brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. His extensive experience in the industry is complemented by his active involvement in the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors, where he has been a dedicated member for over 40 years. He also held various leadership roles throughout his distinguished career.
A graduate of Buffalo Grove High School in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, Nick furthered his education at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, and the Institute of Business and Finance. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated his commitment to professional growth and development, earning the LUTCF Designation from the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Certified Fund Specialist CFS designation from the IBF.
Nick’s passion for the industry stems from his desire to serve clients and friends who seek assistance and guidance in securing their financial future. Getting to Know His Personal Side
Nick is a proud member of this community and thrives on his relationships and friends. He has been married to his wife Vicki for over 39 years, and has a two incredible grown children, Alec and Cassie, who also live and work in the Tampa Bay region. Having grown up with sports as a huge part of his life, he continues to support local and regional sports organizations. Nick is a former collegiate athlete, having played four years of Football as a Wide Receiver at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. He remains active as part of the NCC Alumni base, as well as his current and past involvements in the Manatee Gator Club.
Nick is an avid golfer who remains physically active and loves the chance to spend time with his family and friends. He is a big fan of the Chicago White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks, Bears, as well as the Tampa Bay Rays and Lightning, and Florida Gators. Nick also remains an original member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in the Lakewood Ranch area and has served on numerous committees and projects over the years.
