Kristin Mead brings a wealth of expertise with her impressive 45-year career in the insurance industry. Born in Michigan, she moved to Manatee County with her family as a youth. She attended Manatee High School before furthering her education at the University of Southern Mississippi. As a mother to three children, and a grandmother to four grandchildren, Kristin takes great pride in her family and her 40-year journey with Boyd Insurance & Investments.
Throughout her tenure, Kristin’s accomplishments have spanned every aspect of the insurance agency business. From her beginnings as a receptionist to her proficiency in handling personal lines, commercial lines, bookkeeping, human services, office management, personnel training, marketing, and IT, her versatility and commitment are evident.
Kristin’s passion for the insurance industry ignited during the challenging times of the late 1970s recession, where she seized the opportunity as a receptionist and quickly obtained her agent’s license. Soon after, she studied for and earned the designation of Accredited Advisor of Insurance, ultimately shaping her career path. A cornerstone of her approach to customer service is making each person feel valued and important. Her genuine confidence, warm demeanor, and unwavering honesty ensure that clients’ needs are met with the utmost care.
Getting to Know Her Personal Side
Embracing life with empathy and understanding, Kristin spent more than 20 years working with children and youth as a Sunday School Teacher and Youth Group Leader at her church. Beyond her professional achievements, Kristin enjoys serving as a board member for the Palma Sola Botanical Park Foundation. For relaxation, she enjoys being outdoors in her gardens, riding bikes, swimming, and especially on the golf course! Kristin’s extensive experience, dedication to exceptional service, and unwavering passion for the insurance industry make her a valued leader at Boyd Insurance & Investments, forging enduring client relationships and contributing to the team’s success.
